CLASSIC cars are revving up their engines to take part in an annual rally in Upper Arley The Malvern Hills branch of the Morris Minor Owners Club will hold its annual branch rally at Arley Arboretum on Sunday.

Between 60 and 70 cars are expected to be on display at the event and all classic cars are welcome.

Mary Swift, branch treasurer, said: “We usually go to an interesting venue and this is our first time in Arley. It is a lovely place and a stone’s throw away from the Severn Valley Railway so there is a lot to do.

“We feel like there is a resurgence in interest in classic cars at the moment as we have seen a rise in members.

“We have a whole variety of Morris Minor and classic car owners from all over the place so there will be a nice selection and variety of cars at the rally. Everyone who enters receives a plaque.”

The Malvern Hills branch meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Huntsman Inn, Green Street, Kempsey, near Worcester.
