WHAT a difference a week makes.
These before and after shots of the River Severn in Bewdley show how high the water had risen during the recent torrential rain.
They were taken by Shuttle reader Tim Hebbert a week apart, with the latest snap being taken last Saturday.
The flood crisis that hit the town is now over and the river level has returned to its typical range, after almost reaching record heights two weeks ago.
Motorists were relieved when Bewdley Bridge was reopened last Wednesday, while the flood barriers erected in the town have also been taken down.
It is a far cry from the scene in the town two weeks ago, when the Environment Agency (EA) was forced to add more panels to flood barriers.
Bewdley mayor Linda Candlin and town councillors thanked EA staff after they removed the last of the barriers on Tuesday.
