The 161st annual flower, vegetable and floral art show took place on August 9 and the Show Committee would like to thank the people of Wyre Forest for coming along and supporting this year`s event.
We had at least 320 entries in our traditional Horticultural Show with Bewdley Floral Society also putting on an exhibition entitled “A Gold Celebration” which celebrated their group being formed in 1964. Bewdley Floral Art now belongs to the NAFAS and was formed by a group of like minded friends.
The hall looked its best decked in a fantastic array of produce with many first class vases of flowers and vegetables on show.
St. George`s Hall with its lift and cafe run by volunteers for the community proves to be a popular venue for our event attracting more and more people to our show.
Afterwards they tend to stay in the cafe downstairs for a cup of tea and cake.
2014 Cup winners are as follows and it goes without saying that we would like to say a big thank you to all the exhibitors who entered their splendid produce, flowers and crafts.
