Last September two members of the Worcestershire Federation of WI’s came to Bewdley and circulated flyers around the town saying they were holding a meeting in the newly refurbished St Georges Hall to see if there was any interest in forming a Bewdley WI.

They had booked a small meeting room off the main hall and they waited to see if anyone would turn up.

Ladies of all ages started to drift in.

Pretty soon it became clear that small room was too small and lucky the main hall was free so they moved into that.

That night 65 women turned out and from then the group has not looked back!

The first Monday of each month they meet have some great speakers and demonstrations.

There is always a cup of tea and time to socialise and lots of outings and events are organised.

There is also the opportunity to learn new skills like clay pigeon shooting, tennis or various crafts.

If you are interested and want to find out more just come along, you will be made very welcome.

Find out more about us on Facebook or ring WI House on 01905 641658.

The next meeting is on Monday July 6 at 7.30pm, “Seasons in Wyre Forest” with Sylvia Sheldon Visitors pay £3. Members pay £36 per year and enjoy the many benefits it brings.
