On display at the monthly meeting held on July 6 was the trophy shield and a first rosette which we were awarded at Bewdley Carnival.

The demonstrator for the evening was Delyth Price with her title “A night at the musicals”.

For her first arrangement we were off to watch “The Lion King” with a wonderful mask ( complete with feathers) being added to the flowers and foliage which had a jungle feel about it.

Mary Poppins arrived next on her bicycle complete with umbrella. Two arrangements which included pink roses and snap dragons etc. it really was a spoonful of sugar.

A change of Theatre and off we travelled to see “Billy Elliot” who was a young boy who preferred ballet to boxing, Swan Lake in fact, so a pair of ballet shoes, white feathers and white flowers were in this design.

The next arrangement was of wonderful deep red flowers with black rolled phormiums, gerbera’s with dark centres.

Yes we were watching “Phantom of the Opera”.

The final production was “Wicked”

Witches of East wick. You really did feel as though you were flying and going round with this arrangement.

Appropriate music accompanied the designs.
