BEWDLEY WI: Newly elected president, Caroline Hall welcomed everyone to a Mediterranean evening. French, Spanish, Italian and Greek dishes prepared by members provided a colourful and delicious buffet supper. A newly donated projector allowed notices and future events to be displayed overhead. Tickets were on sale for the strawberry tea fundraising event to be held as a celebration of the Queen's 90th birthday kindly hosted by member June Whiteside in her garden later this month.
The next meeting will be held on July 4, St Georges Hall, Bewdley at 7.30pm when the speaker will talk on 'Reflections on the Battle of the Somme, 100 years on.'
