The newly formed Bewdley Concert Band is a fantastic success story. The band was only formed at the beginning of October but already has 28 members of all ages and abilities, from young children, teenagers, young and middle aged adults to senior citizens.

There are experienced players in all sections of the band who support and encourage the younger and not so experienced players.

The band is becoming a valuable asset to the local community and despite being a newly formed band they are planning to go out into the town over the Christmas period to provide entertainment within the local community.

The band can now only go from strength to strength and all members are working hard to develop their performance skills. A programme of music is now being developed that can be performed during the coming year in and around Bewdley.

The band are still welcoming new members who play a woodwind or brass instrument. They are particularly looking for a tuba player and a trombonist. Practises take place at Bewdley Primary School on a Saturday morning between 10 -30 and 12-30.
