Volunteers needed for Blakedown Big Tidy Up

A LITTER pick will take place in Blakedown as part of the national Big Tidy Up Campaign.

The spring clean will be on Saturday, April 21, starting at Blakedown Primary School, in Birmingham Road at 10.30am.

Community Support Officer for the area, Kate Easthope has teamed up with some of the local residents to host the event and various routes around the village have been planned.

Volunteers are needed to help on the day and all equipment will be provided. The Tidy Up will last for about two hours and will finish at Blakedown Sports Club, where light refreshments will be provided for the helpers. The Big Tidy Up Campaign is being run by national environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy. For more information visit thebigtidyup.org
