At the May 20 meeting, members discussed the national AGM resolution ‘SOS for bees’. The voting was unanimous for this resolution.
Afterwards Mike Randle gave a talk on present day first aid. Mike spoke about CPR, the different techniques for adults and children, heart attacks and strokes and the importance of getting the right help quickly. Then he and a team from SARA (The Severn Area Rescue Service) told us about their role in the community.
Their members are always willing to talk to schools, playgroups etc. Call them on 0870 060 2001.
On June 17 members are visiting Whitlenge Gardens and Nursery for a garden tour and afternoon tea. On July 15 Sue Robinson is making microwave magic, the competition is a cooking utensil. Visitors and new members welcome. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month from 2pm to 4pm at Chaddesley Village Hall.
