Our Christmas Festivities began with our Christmas lunch, beautifully prepared by Jenny, Jan and Carol.
This was followed by a short programme of entertainment and our Christmas worship Later in the month, we accepted an invitation to the Mums and Tots Christmas party, which was lovely and also entertaining.
The New Year has presented us with new challenges as Jenny Edwards has now retired as our Leader after 9 very successful years for our branch.
During that time our membership has grown to 31, with 2 Indoor Members.
The branch has been very active and has undertaken various projects, the latest being the “ My Church Colouring Book” which has been produced by Jenny and Jan on behalf of the branch.
Jenny read her annual Leader’s report, after which Anne gave a very warm vote of thanks to Jenny, paying tribute to her hard work and vision for the branch.
On behalf of members Jenny was presented with a bouquet and vouchers for a quilting shop, as quilting is one of her passions.
Before the meeting closed a vote was taken on the choice of venue for the annual outing and the Claverley Flower Festival won.
This visit will be on July 15.
The meeting over we enjoyed Christmas cake and a welcome cup of tea. BROOME WI
