AN evening of music has been organised in the bid to raise funds for children and young people at Clent special school Sunfield.

The residential school’s ‘Community Fundraising Group’ are planning the event to showcase musical talent from across the area, including Hagley Roman Catholic School’s 90’s band, Cradley Heath Male Voice Choir and violinist Anna Downes.

The evening, sponsored by Kensington Kitchen Design of Hagley and The Four Stones Restaurant of Clent, will take place on Saturday, May 21, at 7.30pm in Sunfield’s Community Hall.

Gaye Hadley, chairman of the fundraising group, said: “There will be music to warm your heart and songs to make you smile, with something to suit all tastes.

“We’d love as many people to attend and join the sing-along as possible.”

Proceeds from the evening will go towards the purchase of specialised equipment and resources – such as musical therapy instruments – for the six to 19-year-old Sunfield students who have complex needs.
