The second of Chris Jackson’s talks on ‘Worcestershire’s Postal History’ will be held on Wednesday, February 20.
It will continue his survey with the introduction of the Penny Post by Rowland Hill in 1840.
As Britain was the first country to issue pre-paid postage stamps, they are the only ones in the world that do not bear the name of the country of issue.
The lecture will be held in Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall, staring at 7.30pm.
Admission is £2.50 for members and £3.50 for non-members. All are welcome.
