MORE than 100 brides and grooms-to-be attended the latest I Will wedding show at Wharton Park Golf & Country Club in Bewdley.

Yesterday's event saw the venue filled with exhibitors from across the area, showcasing wedding wares ranging from cakes and cars to flowers and photography.

Visitors were able to browse the latest fashions for men and women as well as checking out Wharton Park’s own facilities.

First-time exhibitor Kerry Bannister, who runs Stourport-based business Sugar Spice Cart, was especially pleased with the event’s success She said: “I had a really enjoyable day, with lots of interest from visitors, and both the I Will team and the venue staff were very helpful. The exhibition was also very well planned and I had plenty of space around my stand.”

The next I Will show takes place next Sunday at Brockencote Hall in Chaddesley Corbett. A marquee provided by Carnival Marquees of Malvern will be packed full of exhibitors showcasing wedding products and services.

The event runs between 11am and 3.30pm. With plenty of free parking available, people can spend as long as they like browsing the stands. A free prize draw will be held to win goodies including a dress from this season’s sponsor, 2 Have & 2 Hold of Kidderminster.

The I Will wedding shows - run by the people behind local newspapers such as The Shuttle, Bromsgrove Advertiser, Redditch Advertiser, Stourbridge News, Halesowen News and Dudley News - bring together an array of services under one roof.

That means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
