CHADDESLEY HISTORY SOCIETY: The Portable Antiquities database is a living resource, constantly updated by finds liaison officers and advisors, with several hundred new objects added each day. The objects recorded by the Portable Antiquities Scheme are found by members of the public. These objects range from the Palaeolithic to around the 18th Century, and include items recorded in the annual treasure report published by the department of culture, media and sport. Some finds become famous due to the size or value. In the past, some items have been found in the village of Chaddesley Corbett and the surrounding fields. This talk might inspire you to look more carefully as you step and challenge you to examine what you find more carefully; every object tells a story, could a find you have made make it into the Portable Antiquities Database?

All lectures are held in Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall DY10 4QA.
