A SILENT auction at a garden centre near Clent raised hundreds of pounds for the borough’s Leukaemia Unit Appeal Fund.
The Barnett Hill Garden and Leisure Centre on Worcester Road hosted the event on Saturday June 29.
Guests were treated to a fish and chip supper before the auction, which raised £636.40.
The cash will be used to maintain the charity’s holiday homes and provide extra comforts for patients on the ward.
Since February, Barnett Hill customers have helped to raise more than £2,000 for the unit, which supports the Georgina Leukaemia Unit at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.
Store manager Nick Walton said: “It’s a pleasure to work with a local charity that does such good work on behalf of the community.”
