FAMILIES are invited to get in on the action at Clent Hills and take up the National Trust’s 50 Things to do before you’re 11¾ Challenge.

Starting on Wednesday July 31 and running every Wednesday during the summer holidays, the beauty spot will be hosting summer adventure trails as part of its campaign to encourage the under 12s and the young at heart to enjoy classic adventures such as den building, bug hunting and cooking on a camp fire.

Visitors can pick up a trail centred around a different one of the ‘50 Things’ challenges each week.

Really Wild Bushcraft sessions will also be held on the middle Tuesdays in August.

Bob Ayres, National Trust Ranger for the Clent Hills, said: “The activities are a great way for families to explore the outdoors together, get their hands dirty and have fun with nature.”

Trails cost £1 per child and run from 10am to 3pm.

Booking is not required. People can just stop by the National Trust stand at Nimmings Wood Car Park up until 2.30pm when the last trail runs.

Bushcraft sessions run from 10am to 2pm and cost £5 per child. Booking is essential.
