A CLENT special school is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are full of bright ideas to help pull in the pounds.

Sunfield School supports youngsters with complex needs and relies heavily on donations to improve facilities, purchase specialised equipment and pay for any developmental work or research that is required.

Last year, the Community Fundraising Group - made up of parents, staff, local business people and residents - entered a team in The Black Country Run, manned a fundraising stand at Belbroughton Scarecrow Festival and organised a charity fashion show and quiz night.

But the group is keen to recruit new members to help with future events.

Georgina Forrest, Sunfield partnership development manager said: "The group are looking for new members and encourage enthusiastic team players to join them as a member.

"If you’d like to give something back to your local community then we’d love to hear from you."

Anyone who would like to find out more can attend an informal meeting at the Woodman Lane school on Tuesday January 20 at 6pm.
