Members of the club enjoyed a recent trip to the historic Four Stones on the top of the local landmark from which the club has taken its new name.

The club, originally Hasbury and Cradley Rotary Club, was formed in 1979 but the members decided a new name and changed image was the way forward, which, with its broader regional reach, is intended to generate membership from those interested and based in this wider area.

During its 36 year history, the club has been responsible for raising in excess of £250,000, through its direct efforts or the many events which it has organised.

Local charities which have benefitted include Mary Stevens Hospice, Sunfield Homes, Action Heart, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Young Carers Secretary Chris Todd added, “We are all very proud of our fund-raising record, but as a member for all of those 36 years, above all else, I have thoroughly enjoyed all of that time in this club and made some truly great friends. I would strongly encourage anyone interested to contact us and try out a couple of meetings, all without any commitment”.

The club meets on Thursday evenings at The French Hen, Clent and those interested in finding out more about the club should contact: Peter Goodgame on: 01562 730416 or Chris Todd on 07970 408758
