Clent Mothers' Union
As usual there is no branch meeting during August. However the work of the Mothers’ Union continues both at home and overseas, with projects covering literacy classes, parenting classes, prison work, holidays for families in a crisis, support for teenage mums and their babies, etc. The generous financial support we as a branch receive by our fundraising is much appreciated, but more important is the prayerful support we need in order to organise and carry out all these events, especially as we advance in years!
Members are reminded to give in their names if they wish to go on the annual outing, which this year is on September 8 when we plan to go to Bodenham Arboretum for lunch. Details in next month’s magazine.
We wish everyone restful and happy holidays and look forward to meeting again in September.
On October 6 at 12pm, is the lunchtime meeting at the Parish Hall. The speaker is Margaret Penn on "MU Teenage Mums Project".
