Rob Cole, from Meadow Farm Garden and Nursery at Feckenham, gave an entertaining demonstration on growing perennials from seed.

He revealed a lot of his trade secrets to successful sowing. His wife Diane came along too, with some very good quality plants for members to purchase.

The next meeting on Wednesday, June 26 will feature Bob Lawrence, who will give a talk entitled ‘Behind the Scenes at the Safari Park’. It will also be the club’s Rose and Sweet Pea Show.

Summer is here at last. This is a time of year when the gardener can begin to enjoy the fruits of their labours. Take time to stand back to appreciate the garden, and don’t let it become a chore.

If you need some fresh ideas or advice for your garden, join the group for a cup of tea and a chat at one of the monthly meetings.

The club meets on the fourth Wednesday in the calendar month at Clows Top Victory Hall. Doors open at 7.45pm, for the speaker at 8pm.

There are refreshments, raffle and a plant stall.

Non-members are very welcome but annual membership is only £5.
