Speaker Mark Zenick, from New Hope Gardens, gave a talk and presentation on ‘Day Lilies’ at the May meeting.

The slide show had some lovely pictures of day lilies large, small and a good display range of colours. These plants are often known as the ‘poor man’s orchid’. A collection of more than 100 varieties can be seen at Mynd Hardy Plants, Delbury Hall Estate, Mill Lane, Diddlebury, on weekends during July.

The evening was a great success with everyone thoroughly enjoying the talk.
