At this month’s meeting on July 14, we had a visit from Carole Dowding who came to talk to us about her experiences as a Lady Helicopter pilot in the days when this wasn’t something ladies did. Her talk was very interesting and very amusing.
Arrangements were also made and names taken for a lunch at Ombersley Golf Club on July 29, and for our Annual Summer Supper at the home of one of our members in August.
The next meeting will be on September 8 at Cookley School at 7.15pm. The speaker will be Meg Farmer on “My time on the wards”. All will be welcome.
