AWARD-WINNING Hagley fish and chip shop Our Plaice, once named the best in the country, has launched new gluten free fish and chips.
The news, which comes during National Chip Week – which runs until Sunday, will be a boost for take-away fans suffering from coeliac disease or an intolerance to gluten - a protein found in wheat, rye and barley.
Caroline Howard, spokeswoman for the Worcester Road chippy, said: “I know there are so many people out there that are gluten intolerant and they will be glad to hear that they can now have fish and chips.”
