HAGLEY students are preparing to for university life after receiving superb A level results today.

An impressive 56 per cent of students at Haybridge High School achieved A*-B grades.

Three budding medics, Will Moreton, Alex Bishop and Georgie Dugan were thrilled that their hard work had paid off.

Will, who has secured a place studying medicine at Nottingham University, achieved 3A* grades in geography, biology and chemistry, together with an A in mathematics.

Alex achieved an A* in biology and A grades in mathematics and chemistry and Georgie achieved 2A* grades in mathematics and further mathematics, and 2 A grades in biology and chemistry.

Both Alex and Georgie will study medicine at Birmingham University while Ellie Price, also had reason to celebrate as her grades gained her a place at the Royal Veterinary College in London.

Headteacher Caroline Hoddinott said, “I am extremely proud of the students and staff who have worked so hard to achieve these excellent results.

"Examination success equates to life chances for our students who are able to pursue their chosen routes into higher education or employment. My thanks go to the students, their families and the staff; achievements like this are always a team effort.”
