HAGLEY'S MP Sajid Javid has been shuffled from his role as Business Secretary to Communities Secretary in Theresa May’s new Cabinet.
He will now be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), taking over from Greg Clark who was appointed to the role last year, following the election.
Mr Javid was previously Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.
Work and Pensions Secretary Stephen Crabb MP, who mounted a campaign for leadership - naming Mr Javid as his future Chancellor, has resigned from the Cabinet saying the decision was in the best interests of his family.
Greg Clarke becomes the new Business, Energy and Industrial strategy Secretary, effectively swapping roles within the Cabinet with Mr Javid.
