BUSINESS students at a Stourbridge school are once again getting extra encouragement to work hard thanks to the backing of a Black Country accountancy firm.

Redhill School’s GCSE business studies award has once again been supported by Halesowen-based company Nicklin LLP.

This year’s winner of the 'Business Studies Prize for Outstanding Achievement' was year 11 pupil Emilee Foster.

Emilee was said to have been chosen for the award in recognition of her hard work and dedication to her GCSE business course, where she has shown what her teachers describe as “real flair”.

As well as being named the winner of the annual award, Emilee also picked up an engraved trophy and an Amazon Kindle.

Mark Howell, Nicklin LLP partner, attended the school’s annual prize giving at Hagley Hall recently to present the award to Emilee.

He said: “It is wonderful to be able to celebrate the achievements of a talented business student. Emilee is a well-deserved winner who has clearly excelled in business studies.

“Here at Nicklins, we go out of our way to recognise and encourage the achievements of the next generation of business professionals and so I was delighted to present the award to Emilee.”
