HARTLEBURY COMMON LOCAL GROUP: Rosemary Winnall led a walk around Hartlebury Common looking for burrowing bees and wasps. The sandy heathland proved to be a habitat for various species, including those using the nest-making skills of others for raising their young.
On September 12, John Denby will speak on the challenges of being Hartlebury's footpath warden at Stourport Sports Club, Kingsway (DY13 8BQ - opposite Stourport High School) at 8pm; cost £3.
