DON your Santa hits and grab your tinsel because a Hagley-based fitness instructor is inviting the public to raises money for charity at a pre-Christmas bootcamp.

Heather Lewis is urging people over the age of 16 to dress as Christmassy as possible as she hosts a one hour session in aid of Stourbridge-based cause Mary Stevens Hospice.

Taking place between 12.15pm and 1.15pm on Saturday, December 17, at Haybridge Sports Centre, the bootcamp will see Heather put people of all abilities and fitness levels through their paces just in time for Christmas dinner.

Heather said: “I chose to raise money for the hospice as they cared for my great uncle a few years ago before he passed away and made him very comfortable during his time there.

“The beauty of bootcamp is that everyone that comes works to their own ability, so the class is tailored to suit them and it’s a great opportunity to blow off a bit of steam and get in a really good workout for an hour before Christmas.”

To sign up for the class, fitness fans have to make a £5 donation to the hospice via Heather's JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Christmasbootcamp

Dan Malin, of Mary Stevens Hospice, said: “I know I’m guilty of overdoing it on the Terry’s Chocolate Orange at this time of year, so an opportunity to get a bit fitter and raise money for the families here at the hospice is one we’re excited to be a part of and we’re so grateful to Heather for choosing us.

“She’s been fantastic pulling everything together, and it looks like a fantastic, all-inclusive event for anyone who’s looking to get their last few bits of exercise in and raise money for local families.”
