A HAGLEY man died from natural causes after sustaining injuries in a fall, a coroner’s court has concluded.
Denis Aubrey Smith, of Hoarstone, West Hagley, was 89 when passed away on Christmas Eve (Thursday, December 24) last year.
He was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for surgery following the fall, but he died.
The court heard Mr Smith’s medical cause of death was due to bronchopneumonia – the inflammation of the lungs – and he also sustained a fractured right neck of femur, diabetes mellitus, frailty and renal impairment.
