Tennis coach hopes for ace marathon outing

STOURBRIDGE tennis coach Kirk Woodall is also gearing up for his first London Marathon this Sunday (April 22.

Kirk, who coaches at Stourbridge Lawn Tennis Club, will be running for Marie Curie Cancer Care and he hopes to raise more than £2,000 for the charity which supported his dad, Graham Woodall from Cradley, who died of bowel cancer four years ago.

He said: “Marie Curie is a great charity and I hope I can raise as much money as possible to carry on the support the charity provides to many families.”

Superfit Kirk, aged 25, from Hagley, has also set himself a target of completing the gruelling 26-mile race in under three-and-a-half hours - after putting himself through 12 months of intensive training in preparation for the big day.
