Broome WI members celebrated their February Feast at The Granary Restaurant.

We hosted the Area Group Meeting on the 19 March at Hagley Free Church.

The speaker was Mr Cameron Addicott who gave us a presentation based on his work as an undercover officer with both the customs and serious crime squad.

On the 21st March, Richard Westcott described his life as a pantomime dame, showing how he applied his makeup to turn him into the perfect dame.

He brought with him a number of his costumes and an enjoyable evening was had by all.

David Smith joined us on the 18 April.

David of Lyndon Baskets, Rednal, a family business making hanging baskets.

He demonstrated how to make the perfect basket telling us about compost, water retaining gel and the use of slow release plant food.

There were many questions and members had the opportunity to purchase baskets and plants.

Dates for the diary: Saturday 30 June, Broome Village Jubilee fete, where members of Broome WI will be serving afternoon teas in the Village Hall.

Wednesday, 11 July, garden visit to Astley Towne House, near Stourport.

We extend a warm invitation to anyone who would like to come and visit, you will be made very welcome.

Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month in Broome Village H
