Hartlebury firm seeks prize donations for homeless centre fund-raiser

STAFF of a Hartlebury-based firm are calling on the local business community to help it raise money for a centre for homeless people.

CP Foods, along with other businesses at Hartlebury Trading Estate, is holding a fund-raising event on Tuesday, July 17 in support of Worcester’s Maggs Day Centre.

It will include falconry displays, Ferrari driving experiences, a 1km fun run and barbecue but organisers are appealing to other businesses to donate raffle prizes.

Cash raised will go towards the cost of refurbishing Maggs Day Centre’s shower block.

Gloria Blount, of the CP Charity Partnership, said: ”We have been supporting Maggs for more than 12 months, helping raise much-needed funds. We are delighted by all the support we have received so far for the upcoming fund-raising day.

“Raffles often play a central role in any charitable event so we would welcome any contributions from the local community, no matter how big or small.”

Mel Kirk, acting manager at Maggs, said: “I have no doubt that this fund-raising event will be a fantastic day for all.

“Thanks to everyone who has already pledged their support. We’d love to hear from any other local businesses who would be interested in getting involved with making the day an even greater success.”
