A KIDDERMINSTER charity which aims to help people facing barriers into employment held a celebration and fun day.

The staff and clients of Beacon Employment joined together to celebrate their achievements over the last year.

Young people on PROVE IT, Beacon’s study programme, celebrated gaining accreditations and moving on to jobs and further education after gaining new skills and qualifications.

They were joined by people from Beacon’s enterprise programmes, who work on a range of projects and received awards which were voted for by their peers.

In the coming weeks clients of the charity will be taking part in a range of trips to learn more about business and the workplace.

Beacon Employment has programmes designed for young people to engage, offer training and qualifications with the aim of moving them into further education or employment.

The charity also offers a range of activities and work related programmes for adults, including those accessing personal budgets, to take part in on a day to day basis.
