TRANSITION Stourbridge is inviting people to help out with blackcurrant picking at Vale Head Farm in Kinver this weekend.
Members of the eco group will be fruit picking on Saturday July 19 and Sunday July 20 at the organic Compton Road farm, run by Ruskin Mill Trust, which needs to send away 400kg of blackcurrants for juicing.
Margy Henderson, of Transition Stourbridge, said: “Once the 400kg has been picked, people are welcome to carry on picking and can take some home as a thank you – and we could organise a juicing event if there is the enthusiasm.
“Our last juicing day was a lot of fun, hard work and very colourful.”
Anyone interested in helping out with fruit picking can turn up for an hour or two or take a picnic and make a day of it.
