A NEW band is proving you are never too old to rock out.

High Mileage, a rock and roll group made up exclusively of members aged 60 or over, will perform at The Swan pub, Vicar Street, Kidderminster on Sunday, August 24.

Bill Dodwell, of Kidderminster, plays the guitar in the four-piece alongside Aart Edmonds on drums and Paddy Scot on the bass while Ken Greensall provides lead vocals.

The band was set up in April and has already showcased its classic rock and blues sound at gigs throughout the region.

Mr Dodwell said: “The name of course comes from the fact all the band members are of senior years.

“Our 67-year-old lead singer Ken Greensall may look like everybody's favourite grandad but he has a big powerful voice and can really belt out those rock songs.”
