HOSPITAL staff across Worcestershire are celebrating a year of hard work at the second annual Review of the Year.

The review will be launched at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust annual general meeting on Wednesday, September 10.

It will look back on all aspects of patient care in the county’s hospitals, including service improvements, which featured heavily with the development of Worcestershire’s first radiotherapy centre, centralised stroke services, and plans for a midwife-led birth centre.

Staff achievements will also be showcased at the event, including the human resources team who received national recognition at this year’s Healthcare People Management Association awards.

Harry Turner, trust chairman, said: “We have achieved so much this last year and this evening will provide a small taste of the varied developments, achievements and successes across Kidderminster, the Alexandra, and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals in 2013/14.

All members of the public are invited to attend the Review of the Year which starts at 7pm at Malvern Theatres, in Malvern.
