FIRE crews were alerted to two incidents in Kidderminster yesterday.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service first had to put out a car, which had been destroyed by a fire, in Woodbury Road.
The crew was alerted at 5.10am where they extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet. West Mercia Police was also called.
A second incident involved a mattress which was set alight on a car park in Bromsgrove Street, opposite the Wyre Forest Glades Leisure Centre.
A crew from the town’s fire station were called at 5.25pm and put out the blaze with a hose reel.
