LIVE music, fish and chips and a charity auction will all be part of the RSPCA Kidderminster and District Branch’s Autumn Bash in November.

Headlining the entertainment at St George's Hall, in Bewdley, will be local band The Starving Rascals, whose repertoire ranges from hard-hitting classic rock music to 50’s swing, soul, funk as well as contemporary tunes.

Erica Copson, volunteer organiser of the event, said: “It will be a fantastic evening with live music and a fish and chip supper supplied by Catchems End in Bewdley.

“There will also be a charity auction with fantastic prizes donated by local businesses which have been wonderful in supporting us.”

Proceeds from the event – the biggest of the year for the area’s RSPCA branch – will all go to helping local animals.

Karen Drake, volunteer fundraising co-ordinator, said: “We have many animals in our care in desperate need of loving homes.

“As a local branch of the RSPCA we are primarily responsible for raising funds locally, so this is a really important event for us.”

Tickets for the bash, starting at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 22, cost £15, which includes the fish supper or an optional steak and onion pie or cheese pastry.
