A CANCER charity will be getting a cut from two hair treatments being offered at a Kidderminster salon.

Supercuts, at Derrick Burcher's Mall, will be giving half of the cost of each braid or blow dry to Cancer Research UK.

The salon has been raising money through various events since September.

And, from Monday (October 13) until October 17, stylists will offer the "Stand up to Cancer" hairstyles, with 50 per cent of the price donated to the charity.

It is part of the "Stand up to Cancer" campaign organised by the charity with Channel 4.

The campaign will culminate in a live TV fundraiser on October 17, hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Dr Christian Jessen.

Michelle Worthington, regional business manager at Supercuts Kidderminster, said: “We are thrilled to be involved in such a great campaign for a very worthy cause.

"Our stylists are already dreaming up creative ideas for fundraising and we hope that Kidderminster residents and our loyal customers will help us raise lots of money for the campaign.”

The cost of the "braid" style is £12.50 and the blow dry is £15
