A WEST Midlands based solicitors firm has opened its new office in Kinver High Street.

Gavin Williamson MP for South Staffordshire was on hand to open the newest branch of Thursfields Solicitors last week.

The company, which provides a range of legal services, currently has five branches around the Midlands and employ more than 100 members of staff, which they plan to increase to about 130 by the end of the year.

Sarah Mason, solicitor at Thursfields, said: “I am really excited and proud, as a Kinver resident, to head up Thursfields ambitious plans to grow its business in the village.

“We will be able to provide on the spot professional advice which will save local people significant time and money from having to travel further afield to get legal advice on their personal and business needs.”

Established in 1877, Thursfields Solicitors also provides a full range of legal services at its offices in Halesowen, Kidderminster, Worcester and Stourport.

Mr Williamson said: “This new office provides a fantastic opportunity for them and residents here in Kinver, providing legal services to local people and businesses on the High Street at a time when no other solicitor is.

“Currently our local businesses are having to seek corporate legal advice from firms in Birmingham so it is great news that the firm is opening in the area and can tailor to their specific business needs, as well as knowing the economic climate of the local area.

“With the firm opening a new branch in the area, there is also opportunity of new jobs for local people, with plans to expand in the new future.

“I wish them every success in their new venture in Kinver.”

Under the leadership of managing director Nick O’Hara, the firm has extended its branch network in the last year, with its new Halesowen office creating a turnover of more than £1 million.

Mr O’Hara said: “The turnout from local business and people has been incredible.

“We’ve already started to receive a substantial amount of enquires and dealt with issues relating to businesses and private clients, the office is going to be great success and Kinver is a great place to do business.”
