RESIDENTS are being urged to put down the smart phones and shut the lids on laptops and join Compton Hospice at its summer fundraising event in Kinver.
The Family Camp Out and Activity Weekend aims to bring the whole clan together by setting up camp in the heart of Kinver Scout Woods.
Between August 21 and 23, families from across the area are being given the chance to enjoy two nights camping and two full days of activities and entertainment in aid of charity.
Activities on offer include archery, rifle shooting, zip lining, keep fit, climbing wall, African drumming and bushcraft sessions.
The evenings will feature a Compton Campfire complete with acoustic sessions and a traditional sing-along.
Two nights camping and a full weekend of activities costs £25 per adult, £20 per child, or a family ticket of £80.
Alternatively, a full weekend of activities without camping costs £20 for adults, £15 children and families are £65, or a day pass can be bought for £15 per adult, £10 per child or £45 for a family ticket.
