A CONCERT being held in Kinver next month will raise money for the establishment of a piano scholarship at the village’s high school.
The charity performance at St. Peter’s Church on Saturday April 18 will also collect money for the preservation of the historic 11th century church.
Ayaki Davies, a pianist schooled in music in Japan, will lead the recital by performing, among other pieces, Chopin's Piano Sonata No. 3, Op. 58 and Schubert's Ave Maria.
The concert will also include performances by nine of Mrs Davies' piano students, whose ages range from four to 17, with many of them are taught by her at Kinver High School.
Tickets for the charity concert, which starts at 2.30pm costing £6 for adults and £3 for students and children, are available from Kinver High School (formally Edgecliff) by calling 01384 551000.
