KINVER'S much anticipated music festival which is scheduled to take place in July has already been handed a huge boost with confirmation of an appearance by internationally acclaimed Ukrainian accordion duo Oleksiy Kolomoiets and Igor Sayenko.

The pair, known as the Kyiv Classic Duo, will be kicking off an 18-date British tour in Kinver.

They began performing professionally in 2002 and completed a study course in the National Music Academy of Ukraine four years later.

Oleksiy is now a member of the Orchestra of the National Radio of Ukraine, while Igor is with the country's National Philharmonic Society.

They will be featured in Kinver Rotary Club's Saturday Spectacular which will be taking place in St Peter's Church Hall.

Their appearance has been sponsored by CHL Holdings of Brierley Hill and they are set to perform at 2.30pm on July 11.

Tickets to see the Ukrainian accordionists cost £7 for adults and £6 for children, and they can be obtained from Kinver Post Office.

All proceeds will be donated to the Kinver Chernobyl Children's Charity.

Kinver Rotary Club will be staging a number of ticketed events at another six locations during the day, while Friday July 10 and Sunday July 12 will see a wide variety of free performance taking place in public houses and restaurants throughout the village.
