KINVER’s Rotary Club is inviting the public to go ‘behind the scenes’ and find out about the work the movement does throughout the country.

The organisation is opening its doors to the local community for an informal chat, where visitors can ask questions to members over a cup of tea and a biscuit.

An informal evening, open for residents throughout Kinver, Stourbridge, Kingswinford and Brierley Hill, will take place at Kinver Community Fire Station, in Fairfield Drive, between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday, 21st October.

Tom Bryson, member of the group in charge of membership, said: “For too long Rotary has been hiding its light under a bushel.

“Now is the time to let people see all the great charitable work that is done by local members of the community on a voluntary basis.

“Funds raised from events such as the Santa sleigh, the Two Villages 10K Run and many more support local schools, clubs and individuals and a seniors’ annual outing.

“Please drop in and have a chat with local club members during an informal evening. We look forward to seeing you.”
