On November 4, Chris Jackson will talk to the society on ‘Worcester Postal History 1840-2000’.
The talk will give the history of the posts in Worcestershire from the introduction of Uniform Penny Postage by Roland Hill in 1840 until about 2000. It will start with a look at Roland Hill and his involvement in the introduction of the Penny Black and will encompass the changes and developments that took place over the 160 year period.
