THE popular Kinver Music Festival is taking place once again next weekend.

Live music lovers of all tastes can enjoy free performances by an array of bands and artists who will be taking to the stage at venues across the village on Friday July 15, Saturday July 16 and Sunday July 17.

It will be third time the village has played host to the festival which will include music from across the genres - from rock 'n' roll, folk, Irish, choral and pop through to blues, jazz and R&B.

The event will kick off from 7.30pm at Kinver Sports & Community Association where the Stubble Brothers will be performing with special guests. There will also be a full bar and a hog roast at the bash.

Saturday’s programme will start at 1.30pm with music at The White Harte pub - and from 4pm there will be African drums, Rock Choir and Clutching at Straws in St Peter’s Church, which has its own licensed bar.

On Saturday night there'll be music at the church hall, the Cross, the Vine, Plough & Harrow and the Royal Exchange.

On Sunday, Dunsley Hall Hotel will host a programme of music on the terrace from 1.30pm, with a barbecue; and international recording artist Dan Greenaway will be taking to the stage at 7.30pm.

The weekend will also include a Kinver Rotary raffle collection which aims to raise cash for village charities and good causes.
