KIDDERMINSTER & DISTRICT ARCHAEOLOGICAL & HISTORICAL SOCIETY: On November 30, Julia Lowe will be talking about and demonstrating "Music & Dances from the Tudor Court".

Julia is a member of the group "Gloriana Living History" which was founded in Wolverhampton in 1978, by a group of enthusiasts interested in dance, music and costume from the Tudor Period. The group perform at a variety of venues, including castles, historic houses, banquets, weddings, schools and local interest groups. Members of the group have appeared on a number of television programmes including, Tudor Monastery Farm and Come Dine With Me.

Some of the members play period instruments, hurdy gurdy, crumhorn, lute and recorders, to name but a few. Other group members offer their individual skills and expertise on a variety of aspects of Tudor life. For more information about Gloriana there is a website - gloriana.co.uk.

The meeting of KDAHS following will be on December 7, when Mark Macleod will give a talk entitled "A Short Comparative History of Worcester Infirmary and Kidderminster Mill Street Hospital".

Meetings of the Society open at 7.30 for a 7.45 start and are held in St George's Annexe, adjacent to St George's Church, Radford Avenue, Kidderminster, DY10 2ES.

There is a small charge for visitors who are very welcome.
