ELDERLY people in Kinver will be given an early festive gift next week.

Kinver Old People's Welfare Christmas Vouchers will be distributed on Friday December 2 from 9.30am to 1.30pm from Kinver Senior Citizen's Club in Legion Drive.

Men aged 65 and over and women aged 60 and over who live in the parish of Kinver and pay a portion of their council tax to Kinver Parish Council can collect a voucher to spend in the village.

ID such as a current utility bill, pension book or council tax documents will be required for collection. Anyone unable to attend can send a representative, plus ID, on their behalf.

No vouchers will be issued after the distribution day.

Around 900 vouchers are made available each year thanks to donations from the Ken Wrigley Memorial Charity, the bingo clubs which meet at Kinver Constitutional Club every Monday and Kinver Darts Group.
