STAFF and customers at the Co-op store in Kinver were left terrified when robbers, believed to be armed, raided the store last night (Thursday December 8).

Staffordshire Police officers were called to the High Street location just before 10pm after three male offenders threatened staff and customers.

No one was injured during the incident but police say those involved were left shaken by the ordeal.

The offenders wore balaclavas and/or hoods and it is believed at least one was armed with a knife and another a baseball bat.

After threatening staff and demanding cash - they made off with cash stolen from the safe, plus cigarettes and saving stamps.

An investigation is now underway and officers have been carrying out inquiries in the village.
