KIDDERMINSTER ART SOCIETY: Held their AGM on February 16. Re-elected president Claire Spencer and chairman Shelley Waring thanked the committee members for their hard work during 2016 and gave a summary of the many and varied activities held by the club during 2016. The programme for 2017 kicks off with the theme of the month decorative design and a visit to Kidderminster Carpet Museum on March 2 at 7pm. Members will have the chance to view the archives which are not normally available to the general public.
The meeting on March 9 will be a design workshop where members will be learning more about design and having a go at creating their own.
The following weeks, March 16 and 23, members will be exploring Zentangles, and the resulting work will be appraised on 30 March by former Kidderminster Carpet designer James McIntrye. The final zentangle designs will then be going on display at the Canalside Studios Pop-up gallery in Drotiwich town centre.
